Ship Race Event

What is a "Ship Race"?

As the name suggests it is an event where players compete to be the fastest ship.

But there's a difference from traditional races we see in Olympics: Players can start and finish any time they like. You can even repeat (retry) to get a better time.

So in a nutshell, ship race players compete for the best sailing time between two cities.

How do I know it's on?

Watch your message box for a red message containing the [Ship Race] announcement:

You can also go to any port official and click the "race information" button to learn more.

Schedule

Watch the message to know when the race quest is available.

In the example above you can enroll anytime from sept 17 to sept 23.

Procedure

Go to the origin port (Seville in the example above) and get prepared: Equip bonus items use speed boosts etc...

Once you are ready talk to the port official, hit the "join" button and set sail. Go as fast you can to the destination port.

Your final time will be shown to you as soon as enter the destination city (Docks).

Go talk to the port official to receive a reward.

Benefits

You receive a race participation ticket, which works like any other tickets (including the Captain's Ticket).

Racing is sometimes promoted and you can get highly valuable stuff.

In order to encourage participation, the best items are being offered to random participants and not exclusively to the fastest players.
