Special Shipbuilding Improvement Permit (SSIP)

A certificate required for improving a ship through special shipbuilding.

What does a SSIP do?

These are necessary to add improvements to a ship (also know as mod).

Each ship has a number of improvements of mods. If your ship started as 0/5 it may have up to five mods and sometimes 2 additional more (in a company colony shipyard).

How many SSIP do I need?

Normally you will need more than one of these per mod. The number of depends on

• how many improvements you already made
• your ship class.

SSIP and OSP

There's a commom misunderstanding between SSIP and OSP (original ship skill permit).

SSIP are for improvements and modifications. It used to be a cash (UWC) item only but it is now obtainable in treasure chests.

OSP are for adding a original ship skill , no status improvements are obtained. OSP are obtained through Patriot Awards that are only obtainable in game.
