First of all let's not confuse treasure appraising with treasure hunt or quests (That have treasures that need the appraisal skill).
The game now gives you Treasure Chests for fighting NPCs in land or sea battle. It is randomly awarded though.
On top of that, there are different types of chests and each has a different level of rarity.
The rarity is proportional to the enemy NPCs level. So higher level NPCs will likely drop more valuable chests.
How to open treasure chests
Unlike common treasure chests from shipwrecks and quests, you cannot open these on your own.
You must take them to the NPC "Treasure Appraiser" that lives in the command center.
Luckily it is easy to reach the command center once you are in any city of the world:
Talk to the Port Official NPC => click "Set Sail" => click "Ganador Transport" => click "to Harbour".
The "Treasure Appraiser" is near the cannons.
Limits to treasure appraising
- Treasure Chests that are rarer needs more "Daily Treasure Appraisals".
- There is a consumable named "Emergency Appraisal Request" that allows you to open more chests after the daily limit is reached.
- There is a minimum fame needed for treasure appraising. Currently you must have at least 10k fame in each category (Adventure, Trade and Battle).
Exceptions
You won't get treasure chests from:
- Battle Campaign
- Epic Sea Feud
- Epic Pirate Feud
- Ganador NPCs
- Coliseum
