Arr, so ye wish to know of the shiny trinkets and trophies a captain can hoard? Listen well. These be Ornaments, more than just pretty baubles for yer quarters. They be a mark of a true adventurer's legacy and a source of real power on the high seas.
The Bounty They Offer
Why bother, ye ask? The rewards are worth the plunder, I say!
- A Captain's Pride: Make yer quarters a sight to behold.
- Favor in Paris: Display certain foreign treasures at the Louvre to earn Cultural Contribution daily.
- The True Power: Unlock mighty Ornament Effects to aid yer voyages.
Unlocking Their Power
To harness these effects, ye need a place to show 'em off proper. Mark these requirements:
- First, secure yerself Quarters of Rank 5.
- Then, visit a bank and purchase a Display Room for a king's ransom of 10 million ducats.
With this room, ye can display up to 10 ornaments. Their combined Display Points will raise the effect's rank, from 1 to 3. Higher rank, greater the boon!
A Taste of the Effects
Choose yer ornaments wisely, for they grant favors such as:
- Longer-lasting skills and more treasure from dungeons.
- Fewer attacks and disasters upon the waves—a blessing I can share with me fleet!
- Less vigour spent, supplies consumed, and faster travel on land.
- Even less headache when diggin' in the Archives!
How They Be Made
Ye don't craft these yerself. Take a Discovery Card (not of a port or place) to a Craftsman or Sculptor in cities across the world—from Venice to Calicut—and commission the work. The card is lost in the making, but the ornament is yours forever. Some rare ones only come from special events, so keep a weather eye open!
If ye hunger for the full chart—every last secret on ornament lists, where to find every craftsman, and how to master the display—then make way to the complete guide below. I'll show ye how to seize this power proper.

Hey, Just a correction on ornaments - it is not 10 pts per rank. Rank 1 is 10 pts but rank 2 is 30 (I'm guessing 10 for r1, +20 for r2 = 30) If that is the formula, then r3 should be 60 pts. Don't have the ornaments to be able to verify though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Logan, I will mark it for revision later.
