In this post I'll talk about how you can get past UWO's trade level limits or caps (Level Uncapping).
National colonies in Caribbean:
Unlocking Trade Level 60
Requirements
- Level 56+ Trade.
- East Coast Latin America Port Permit.
- 34m ducats for jewellry/investments.
- Investment in your nation's caribbean territory city (Trujillo / Grand Cayman / Willemstad / Caracas / Cayenne / Pernambuco), if you are going to buy Jade ring yourself.
How to
You will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
Talk to the millionaire in Calicut's square to start the quest.
Note: It is recommended to buy all items before going to Calicut (See below).
Jewellery list (Name / Place to buy / Investment on port required / Price of the jewellry):
- Amber Hair Ornament - Riga - 120k - 5 million
- Agate earrings - Jamaica - 120k - 4 million
- Jade ring - Carib Territory* - 200k - 7 million
- Diamond necklace - Cape Town - 180k - 11 million
- Turquoise brooch - Hormuz - 120k - 6 million
I usually follow this order on my way to Calicut. Make sure you bring disguise clothes for Hormuz if it is under Ottoman rule (Minimum of 50 disguise).
- Grand Cayman (England)
- Trujillo (Spain)
- Willemstad (Netherlands)
- Pernambuco (Portugal)
- Cayenne (France)
- Caracas (Venice)
Quest sequence:
- Millionaire
- Wife (Behind English Consul close to the water)
- Millionaire
- Go to Port (Seafarer)
- Millionaire
- Go to Port after given the Jewellery list, then return to Wife.
- Wife
- Millionaire (and Wife) at square
- Millionaire (Hand over the jewellry)
Note: You don't have to leave Calicut.
Unlocking Trade Level 65
When you get to an EA port you will receive a message to talk an important figure. It doesn't matter who you choose:
- For China: Dadudufu in Chongqing
- For Japan: Date in Edo
- For Korea: Yi Sun-sin in Busan
- For Taiwan: Chengtian Prefecture in Anping
Note: It's the same quest for all classes so you can unlock all 3 classes cap in one trip.
Unlocking Trade Level 70
Requirements
- Level 66+ Trade.
- 3 (three) lumber (Trade good).
How to
You will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
Take the lumber to any craftsman and "Share Information". Yes, you will hand over the lumber.
Lumber is almost sure to work but if it doesn't, look for an alternative good like Iron.
After you've shared information, go to Florence (land route from Pisa) and talk to Lorenzo de Medici.
Be sure to talk to him more than once as it may unlock other recipes / npcs.
Note: If you have already maxed your contribution for the week (999+) you will have to wait until the end of monday when contribution is reseted.
Unlocking Trade Level 75
Requirements
- Level 70+ Trade.
How to
You will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
It says something in the lines of: you will unlock futher abilities when you meet someone in Frankfurt.
Talk to Alias (A NPC with blue hair) in Frankfurt's Tavern (land route from Hamburg).
Unlocking Trade Level 80
Requirements
- Level 76+ Trade.
How to
As usual, you will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
Talk to Alias again.
Unlocking Trade Level 85
Requirements
- Level 81+ Trade.
How to
As usual, you will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
Talk to Alias again.
Unlocking Trade Level 90
Requirements
- Level 86+ Trade.
How to
As usual, you will receive a message when you arrive at your capital (watch your status bar below) if you qualify for the cap unlock.
Talk to Alias again.
These benefits can be obtained by meeting the requirements and speaking to Prince Henrique in Sagres.
