Detonics Grinding Guide

Why grind Detonics?

Detonics increases the effectiveness of explosive cannons.

“Explosive damage” refers to the damage caused to an enemy ship from explosions created after cannon fire, this does not include damage from the cannon fire itself.

Grinding Procedure

1 - Equip one these special cannons:

• Armour Howitzer
• Flare Howitzer

2 - Fire them at your enemies.

The Detonics' proficiency can only be increased by participating in Sea Battles.

Your Proficiency will increase by equipping Cannons that use the new ammunition, Armor-piercing Explosive Shells or Fracturing Explosive Shells, and causing explosive damage to NPCs during Sea Battles.

Once your Skill Rank increases, you will need to cause greater damage to even stronger NPCs in order to increase your Skill Proficiency further.

When your Detonics Skill Rank increases, the effects of the Shells also improve.
