THE PERFECT TRANSPORTATION JOB

This job utilizes  the steam engine, currently the state-of-the-art in transportation technology.

Steam Engineers have "Management Skill" as an Expert Skill, and can learn other Skills such as "Navigation" and "Arms" as Favoured.

How to get this job

Requirements

  • Discover Manchester (if you haven't already)
  • Navigation (Skill): R3
  • Management Skill: R5
  • Arms (Skill): R3
Note: Requirements are for the fleet admiral (Who pulls the quest). He may later share the quest before he completes it.

Step 1: Go to Cape Town

Stock on QMP, PO2 or Chrome Ore if you don't like port hopping (or investing). Chrome Ore is needed when you return to Europe.

Step 2: Get quest at the business mediator at Cape Town

The quest name is "Troubled Casting Workshop Supervisor". Details below:

Step 3: Talk to the business mediator again 

You may need to close his window and talk to him again to open the quest talk.

Step 4: Buy (or collect) Chrome Ore

R8 mineral skill let you buy 37 Chrome Ore at the MK in Cape. If you can't see the ore to sell then you need to invest at least 8.5m.

You can collect the Chrome Ore at Gulf of Bothnia West Coast (Stacked boulders landmark in the middle of the map). R13 collection is enough.

Note: You may buy from other players too.

Step 5: Go to Manchester

And deliver 200 Chrome Ore to the Casting WS supervisor at Manchester factory.

Step 6: Report the quest at any tavern maid (need some friendship level) 

You can also go back to cape and report to the business mediator, but that's a long ride... but I leave it up to you matey!

Obtaining the Job Card using the Letter

No NPC is known to give the job card with the Letter of Appreciation of Seafarers.
