Rescuing Stranded NPCs on the seas

During your travels on the 7 seas you may encounter NPCs who have experienced disasters and are asking for help.

Identifying a NPC in need

NPCs who need your help are shown as the icon of a lifesaver in your surveying (skill):

At close sight you can tell the difference from normal sailing NPCs because stranded NPCs have a balloon and a different color:

Note: NPCs do not stay in their position everytime and may disappear when you port.

Types of NPC

• Requesting Supplies
• Requesting Repairs
• Load Collapse
• Shipwreck
• Under pirate attack

Rewards

You will obtain a "Letter of Appreciation from Seafarers" from the NPC you have rescued. Collect them and get powerful bonuses!

How to rescue the NPC

Example: Drop anchor and wait for the ship to completely stop:

Keep following the instructions on your status screen. 

• Request supply: Just click the button and hand over a few of your water/food.
• Load collapse: Use your recognition or collection skill.
• Requesting for Repairs (Philomena): Use your repair skill.
• Under pirate attack: You will join the battle on the defending side. Attacker should be pretty weak in barcas.
