Did you notice the game has a world clock?
You can find it in "Record" > "World Clock".
This means each "time" or "period" in history has specific goods, recipes, learn about rumors (clues) and ganadors (Bosses).
Chrono (or time) quests allows players to earn a title that allows than to experience this time period even when the server is not.
Note: You can only access those special good stuff if you the server is on the specific time period or you have the title equipped. The NPC will say something like:
The quest (or chrono quest) works like any normal quest. They are the one with blue scrolls. There are no penalties if you don't complete them.
Chrono title's limits
Players can hold a maximum of 2 Chrono titles at the same time. If you get another chrono title you will lose the oldest one you have...
Unless you are equipped with it! So if you like one of these titles you that's how you keep them.

Age related EX Items
There are a few "EX" items that have the same effect as the titles. The good thing about them is that using them saves you the title slot (So you can use for more important things).
