How to Grind Accuracy (And other cannon skills)

Why grind Accuracy?

Your cannons, autocannons and flamethrowers can hit targets more easily. Also, they can shoot at close range.

Allows more accurate fire and also allows you to fire at enemies closer to your ship.

Refining Effect

Increases the bullet-speed of the cannon which decreases the chance to miss.

Skills (Required or recommended)

• Accuracy
• Gunnery (Not mandatory but recommended)
• Ballistics (Not mandatory but recommended)

If you have Note of skill use:

• Reloading (Not mandatory but recommended)
• Penetration (Not mandatory but recommended)

Recommended Jobs

The best jobs will have cannon skills as favored. Senior Officer is the best if you want to grind your skill up to rank 16. By the way, accuracy is good to grind together with gunnery and penetration.

Other jobs:

• Mercenary
• Cannoneer
• Grand Admiral
• Musketeer
• Guardian
• High Commander

Recommended ship

Any ship with 5 cannon broadside slots.

If you are just starting out, "Trading Large Galleon" is a cheap ship with low level requirements.

Recommended equipment

• Rapid fire 18 or Rapid fire 16 or North American Rapid fire 16 (Bought in San Francisco NPC).
• Iron Plates

Note 1: Cheaper cannons may not deal damage (Or give prof to some skills) and 20s are maybe too expensive for this job.

Note 2: Cannons break fast so bring lots of it.

Helpful Consumables

• Food. Give preference to those that are good at lowering fatigue like Bagels and Tuna Olive Steak.
• Spare Sail (Use after battle)
• Proficiency boosters if you can afford them.

How to get to the grinding spot

Step 1: Go to the maritime mediator in Santo Domingo.

Step 2: Get the quest "Mysterious Modified Armoured Fleet". It has no requirement but you should also take some QMPs, just in case it doesn't show up at first.

Step 3: Talk to the maritime mediator again (To get the quest info).

Step 4: Equip your ship with disposable cannons and armor. Remove any sails you may have.

Step 5: Sail south from Santo Domingo and you should be ambushed by the enemy fleet.

Grinding accuracy (Basics)

1. When in battle check your surroundings. There is usually one side that has no enemy ship.
2. Move to the edge of the battle circle, the enemies will follow you. 
3. Steer your ship so it isn't exposed to critical hits (Check the video below for guidance).
4. Drop anchors and make sure the enemies do the same in a place they can't land critical hits in you.
5. Activate your skills.
6. Fire your cannons. This is what gives you skill proficiency.
7. Retreat from battle when the enemy AI starts to move to melee you.
8. If any of your cannon broke during battle, equip a new one before starting over.
