The game is usually very generous with durability points but most people are concerned by their equipment losing endurance at sea and during battles. So let's analise the options.
Analysis
First of all, if you have a cheap equipment, bought from an item shop, do not repair it. Just buy another one when yours break.
Tip: Just repair it if its valuable.
Second to that, there is usually more than one option of repairing it. So pick the cheapest option first.
Thirdly, some equipments have an effect like my Ivory Recorder (in this case: Flute Performance):
Equipments with an effect do NOT lose durability while at sea. It will still lose it if you use it.Repairing Options
You will need an item to repair your equipment.
If your equipment is one of this:
- Clothes
- Hat
- Gloves
- Boots
You can you use one of these items:
Master's Tailoring Tools (MTT)
Custom Tailoring Tools (Premium)
Silver tarot (if you get "the world")
Gold Tarot (if you get "the world")
Shining Tarot (The World) - Premium
Fighting Weapon
If you want to repair what is in your weapon slot, you will need to check if it is a weapon. Does it have fighting class (sword, axe, club...)?
If it does, it is a weapon and can be fixed with:
Silver tarot (if you get "the world")
Gold Tarot (if you get "the world")
Shining Tarot (The World) - Premium
Example: A Bamboo Broom is shown as a sword so it can be repaired with a MST.
Non Fighting Weapon
If what you have in the weapon slot does not have a fighting class, such as the Ivory Recorder (flute) above, then your only way to repair it is:
Silver tarot (if you get "the world")
Gold Tarot (if you get "the world")
Shining Tarot (The World) - Premium
Tip: Consider that before buying your stuff.
How to use
MTT and MST are easy to use. Just "Use item" and choose what you want to repair.
World Tarot
The world tarot card is a bit tricky. You still have to use the base tarot card and you have to wait for 3 hours.
You have to be sailing (And no disaster / storm / seagull) to get your equipment repaired when the "effect" (which is the card showing in your screen) wears off. So be outside when "the world" is about to expire . To be safe, stay less than 10 days / minutes outside (The card starts blinking in the last minutes).
