Avast, me hearties! Listen close, for I've charted the course to a powerful new secret in these waters: Hidden Forces. Think of 'em as enchanted stones, each holdin' a unique blessing for yer ship, yer sword arm, or yer wits. The best part? They don't clutter yer hold—ye can collect 'em all, though ye can only benefit from a few at a time.
Unlockin' the System
To lay hands on this power, ye must first prove yer mettle. Seek out the Adventure Mediator in London and take on the quest "The Legendary Giant Tree". Mark this well: ye'll need a sturdy name, with 2800 Adventure Fame and 20,000 Total Fame to even hear the tale.
The Three Key Stones
Once the path is open, three mighty stones await the bold. Each requires its own quest to claim.
- Stone of Life: Yer foundation. Completes the unlock and offers stout bonuses to yer ship's hull and yer own vitality.
- Stone of Energy: Forged through the "Paradise of Fairies" quest, which first requires "Folklore of the Edge of the World" (and a sharp mind with Geography Rank 3). This stone fuels yer actions in battle and trade.
- Stone of Wisdom: Claimed from the "Investigation of the Giant God Race" in Genoa (requires speakin' Italian). This one sharpens yer mind, savin' and earnin' more Sophia and cultural sway.
Usin' and Improvin' Yer Stones
Once ye have 'em, a new "Hidden Forces" section appears in yer Character menu. There, ye can activate a stone's blessing. The Stone of Life, for instance, might grant +1% ship durability in NPC sea battles at its first rank.
But why settle for a spark when ye can have a blaze? Use Gemstone Processing Kits to try and raise a stone's rank, unlockin' greater effects like +10% adventure experience or +7% max stamina in dungeons. Beware the gamble, though—the rank could also fall! For safer climbin', seek Master’s kits and memos from the Treasure Cove and Captain’s Shop.
Ye can find these kits randomly by livin' the sailor's life: browsin' archives, reportin' quests, makin' discoveries, fightin' on sea or land, hagglin', even ridin' carriages.
Why Bother? The Bounty!
These stones offer a king's ransom in advantages. The blessings grow with the stone's rank, so heed this sample of the plunder:
- Stone of Life: More ship durability, more health in battle, increased fame and experience gains, less fatigue, better aide skills, and protection from sea ice.
- Stone of Energy: Better technique gauge in battles, reduced skill costs, faster actions, higher haggling success, conserved materials, and stronger aide growth.
- Stone of Wisdom: More Sophia from discoveries, less Sophia spent on quests and crafts, more cultural contribution, and faster recovery in port.
So there ye have it, the lay of the land. A treasure of power for the takin', if ye have the grit to claim it.
