Description
The Find Person skill represents the advanced maritime knowledge of experienced navigators who can read wind patterns, ocean currents, and harbor gossip to determine the approximate location of other sailors across the vast seas.
How to Use
To use the Find Person skill:
- Type "Find" + playername.
- The skill requires you to be at sea (cannot be used in dungeons or on land).
How to Analyze the Output
The Find Person skill provides information in a specific format that experienced navigators learn to interpret:
Distance Indicators
- "Very close" - Within the same sea zone.
- "Close" - Within nearby waters (1 sea zone away).
- "Far" - In distant seas (2-4 sea zones away).
- "Very far" - In remote oceans (5+ sea zones away).
- "Cannot be found" - Player is offline.
Directional Readings
The skill provides compass directions based on your current position:
- "To the North" - Head towards northern sea zones
- "To the Northeast" - Diagonal direction combining north and east
- "To the East" - Head towards eastern waters
- "To the Southeast" - Diagonal direction combining south and east
- "To the South" - Head towards southern seas
- "To the Southwest" - Diagonal direction combining south and west
- "To the West" - Head towards western waters
- "To the Northwest" - Diagonal direction combining north and west

This tells you that Blackbeard is 2-4 sea zones away in the southeastern direction from where you currently are.
