Check Handling

Checks are very useful for player to player transactions and now they CAN be store in your bank (vault) or shared storage.

The limit of ducats you can carry is currently 500m ducats, so you will probably need to use checks if you need to make transactions larger than that.

The limit of checks you can carry per toon is:

• 20b in 100m checks (200 X 100m= 20,000m).
• 2b in 10m checks (200 X 10m= 2,000m)

How to get checks

Step 1: Go to the bank

Step 2: Click on the withdraw button

Step 3: Click "Cheque Handling"

Step 4: Click "Change"

Step 5: Select the number of checks you want (You must have money in bank) and click OK

When you close the window (by clicking OK) you should have the check (or checks) in your inventory.

The tricky thing is that you must input the TOTAL number of checks you want to have after the transaction. Example:

• If I have 0 checks and want 1, I should input 1.
• If I have 5 checks and want 9, I should input 9.

If you want to deposit checks you should use a similar approach but reduce the amount of checks in hand instead.

Bank Handling Fees

Deposit

There is no fee for deposits.

If you deposit one 100m check you will get 100m ducats in your account.

Withdraw

Banks used to charge you a 10% fee for processing checks but it is 5% since chapter 3.9: The silk road. 

Buying / selling from other players

You can offer to buy / sell checks from other players.

You can pay 102m ducats per 100m checks and that's still a good deal for you because you will save 3m per 100m check (Instead of paying 110m per check).

Likewise can can sell 100m checks for 103m ducats and earn 3m per ducats. You would get 100m from bank otherwise.

All in all, that's a win win deal.

Getting Fee / Check Discounts 

You can actually get a discount for checks obtained from your bank.

Banks in cities with active mayors will charge less for each check (Bank handling fees preference).

Check the city official (Honorary Mayor tab) for Bank handling fee preference. If it's there, you can have a discount.

This preference is available in cities that have:

• Mayor contribution level: Energetic
• City's activity levels: Booming

You can also check mayor's activity level if you charted the sea region the city is in.

But there is a catch, you can only withdraw up to 5 checks at a time to be eligible for a discount.

You also need to make room in your pockets as the discount money (refund) will go to your wallet, not bank.

Note: If the city mayor is just "active", as in the example below, you will receive lower fee refund / check discount.
